Walls and ceilings
Most walls and ceilings take two coats of emulsion over properly prepared surfaces. Matt finishes hide imperfections best and suit living rooms and bedrooms; durable, wipeable finishes are the better choice for hallways, kitchens and children's rooms where walls get touched and cleaned. Ceilings are usually painted in a flat white matt to reduce glare and hide minor unevenness.
New plaster
